MEET THE PLAYERS

Welcome to San Francisco Toastmasters!

Chartered in 1975, San Francisco Toastmasters is a club rich with tradition and members are unified by a common mission: to enrich our lives and the lives of others through our three values: communication, leadership & community.

Skill levels vary from practiced & confident speakers to those of a novice level, ready to conquer fears of public speaking.  We thrive on a mutually supportive (and fun!) environment, which encourages improvement and grants opportunities we provide for prepared speeches, impromptu speaking and constructive evaluations.  It's no surprise that SFTM is one of the largest and most popular clubs in the city.
Our Mission
Enhancing Lives through Communication, Leadership & Community

We practice prepared and impromptu speaking in pursuit of better Communication Skills

We regularly take on meeting roles, club officer roles, and other  Leadership Development
opportunities, within our club as well as in our workplaces and communities.

We appreciate and adore the
Community
we have built, with good times, laughter and lasting, supportive relationships.

Our Members come from many walks of life

2010 - present

Among them, you'll find junior & experienced speakers alike. Foreigners or native English speakers, lawyers, salespeople, entrepreneurs, engineers & many others fill our ranks.

The one thing they have in common? A strong commitment at becoming better... especially at public speaking and leadership.

Our Officers are dedicated to delivering the best club experience

Our officers are elected once a year by members.  Officers are crucial to our club's success and ensure meetings run smoothly, reward achievers, and remind our community that success always in sight.

Officers are able to practice conflict resolution and problem solving, and naturally develop leadership skills such as project and team management.
