Costs
San Francisco Toastmasters is one of the most inexpensive self-improvement opportunities you will find!
- Six month membership dues are $55, payable no later than September 15th and March 15th.
- New member fees, including initiation fees and dues to both our club and Toastmasters
International, total $81.75 or less, depending on the month you join relative to the dues period. The
VP of Membership or Treasurer will give you the precise amount when you apply.
(Payment can be made by cash, Paypal or check made payable to San Francisco Toastmasters. We do not accept credit cards, though Paypal does.) |
How to become a member
First, attend at least 3 meetings as a guest, to check out the club and decide if it is right for you.
If after 3 or more meetings as a guest you wish to become a member, please complete a
membership application, and submit it to our VP of Membership,
Stephanie Hill (or another officer if Stephanie is not at the meeting).
Once your application is accepted, you will be a candidate for membership. Attend
at least two more meetings as a candidate.
During the candidate period, the officer
team will consider your application, weighing such factors as availability of space
in the club. Our VP Membership will let you know the status of your application, including
when it has been approved.
Dues and initiation fee will be payable if your application is
approved. At that point, you will join a very committed and hard-working group, as a member of
San Francisco Toastmasters!
We're happy to say San Francisco Toastmasters is a very popular club, but that can also mean a backlog for
membership. It's a good idea to check out other San Francisco-area Toastmasters clubs during your guest period.
Please be sure to meet our VP of Membership, Stephanie Hill, at least by the time you submit the application.
